Filabels is a free generator for printable filament labels. Using the site or downloading a file means you agree to these terms. Last updated 9 October 2026.
The files you download
The label and clip STL files, and the sizing-test files, are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0). A copy of that notice is included in the download. You can:
- Download them, print them, and use them for yourself, including giving printed copies away.
- Share the files, including a version you changed, if you credit Filabels, link to filabels.app and to the license, and say when you have changed them.
You can't:
- Sell the files or prints of them, charge for them, or include them in something you sell.
- Claim that you designed them, or suggest that Filabels endorses what you did with them.
- Add terms that stop other people from using the files in the ways this license allows.
A reasonable credit line is: Filament label by Filabels (https://filabels.app), licensed CC BY-NC 4.0. The Filabels name and logo are not part of that license.
Words you type into a label, including a filament brand, are not licensed to you by this site. A download does not make that name yours, and it does not mean the brand endorses the label.
No personal information required
You do not need an account, a name, or an email address to generate or download a label. The contact form is optional. If you use it, you choose the name, email, and message to send, and that message is used to reply to you. It is not used for advertising.
How usage is measured
If you accept cookies, the site can record how the generator is used: the pole size, and for a finished download the brand, type, and color you typed. That record is used to improve the models and the site. It is not attached to your name or an email address, because the generator never asks for either.
If a preview or a download fails, an error report may be sent so the failure can be fixed. That report does not include cookies or an account.
Advertising is separate. What Google can receive when you accept cookies is described on the Privacy page. You can reject cookies and keep using the generator.
Fit and printing
The files are generated automatically and provided as they are. They may not fit every printer, filament, or pole. Look at the preview before you print. You are responsible for the print and for how you use it. For example, labels should not be clipped to your cat's tail.
Using the site
The generator is free. Ads may be shown, and they do not change the license on the files. Don't try to overload or break the generator. The site is meant for people printing their own filament labels. It is not directed at children.
The site, the models, and these terms can change. The date above is the version that applies when you use the site. A file you already downloaded stays under CC BY-NC 4.0. Questions can go through the contact form on the generator page.
